Day 29 - 35

“Yes that’s 11.4kgs in 4 weeks’

It was with apprehension that I approached the scales on Sunday morning, not because I hadn’t worked my nads off but because I had worked so hard I wanted it to be reflected fairly on both the scales and with my measurements.

Well I started at 112.2kg and I was now 100.8. Yes that’s 11.4kgs in 4 weeks eat that French cruisine. I am also down by 33.4cm over all of the measured locations, that’s half a foot of body lost.

Am I motivated by that? Yes. Am I ready to kick the backside out of month two? Yes. Was all of the sacrifice and hard work worth it? Absolutely.

Here proves the importance of body weights & measurements throughout any transformation. If you have a Personal Trainer that doesn’t perform fit tests and measurements every month then get a new one. Seriously. Going off piste a bit, I’m regularly shocked when I take on a new client that’s ditched their PT because of no results, only to find out that they don’t perform any of the elementary tests that we are taught as professionals. These same trainers are getting recommendations on community facebook groups across Dubai...WTF?! Ask yourself are you recommending this person because they are your PT and they are ‘nice and friendly’ or have you actually got some documented results from them. Are you paying this person AED36000 a year to talk to you whilst you’re on the treadmill or sit down whilst you perform pointless glute raises? Think about it, you wouldn’t recommend a builder who turns up moves some bricks around and leaves instead of building your wall, why do it for a Personal Trainer.

Now that rant is over let's talk about what the future holds. Month one is the hardest on one hand with the getting started and feeling unfit etc but it also reaps the most rewards. You can drop the excess weight very quickly and your motivation is still high.

Anyone can cut out the naughty things for a month but can they do it for month two and three? I am fully prepared for motivation to waver, I know next month's measurements probably won’t be as impressive and I certainly haven’t got 11kg to lose. What I am expecting however (and I know this with clients of mine) month two reaps the greatest rewards with regards to the change of body shape. I have completed the month one photos (all will be released at the end) and not only am I shocked at how fat I was at the beginning but also how much I’ve changed in one month.

Knowing month two is a big one really motivates me, I know that this big snowball will just keep on rolling and by day 57 we should be in for a pleasant surprise and some more impressive results. Trusting the system is key. Let’s go weeks 5 to 8.
