Week 11 - Final Measurements

Morning folks.

Well after much deliberation. I have decided to cut the journey from fit 2 fat and back again short by a few days. I had always planned to finish around the Dubai 7's so that I could let my hair down and have a well earned drink or ten and what better event to do just that. This week I continued my rugby style training and have really enjoyed the change up. I've thrown in power cleans, box jumps, banded squats, rowing intervals and more to make sure that I'm ready for the weekends rugger. Don't get me wrong 2 weeks of training like this isn't going to turn me into the next Sonny Bill Williams on the pitch but it will definitely help and I'll need all the help I can get! I'm already feeling better anaerobically and so the thought of chasing young 20 something's around a pitch in 30 degrees is becoming less daunting.

Back to the point.

It's been 11.5 weeks give or take a day or two and the journey has finally come to an end. Will I miss the endless cooking of chicken and broccoli? Or the 5am cardio? Not really. But if you ask me whether it was worth it, it goes without saying. Even as a Personal Trainer I'm astounded at my own results. It shows what dedication and consistency really does for you. Massive body change isn't out of anyone's grasp if you can just stay on track. I even had pizza and beer (once) and still smashed the challenge to peices.

I still have a few weeks to go and maybe another kilo to lose but you get the idea. It IS possible for anyone to get the change that they want in their body. You can do exactly what I have just done, if you want it enough. Can you do it as quickly if you are brunching every week and succumbing to sweet office temptations? No, No, No, so stop kidding yourself. Check out the results below.

Drum Roll Please

So what were the final results?

Don't ask me what happened to my eyes on the after shot...think it's lack of carbs ;)

I finished up at 9% body fat which is pretty good. I could however keep pushing for a few more weeks to get into the 5-6% zone of the super duper ripped, if I so wished but what would be the point. Life is about balance and now I'm at a level 8/9 in my eyes (referring to the ladder principle), I'm happy to maintain or at least hang around the 8's and 9's for the foreseeable future. I WILL be having a biscuit with my cup of tea. I WILL be having a massive xmas dinner with all of the trimmings over the festive period and I WILL continue to train like a trooper too. On the other hand I will not be glutinous on a daily basis, I won't be lazy in the gym and I won't make excuses for my weight gain after xmas.

The average life expectancy is 71 years old. That's 3702 weeks we have on average. Couldn't you commit to 11 weeks of hard graft in your life to get to where you want to be? Silly question when you put it like that.

Are you really that weak? Of course you aren't. I'm sure you have been through far longer and more trying situations in your life. Why not channel your energy, willpower and passion into something that will absolutely leave you feeling and looking fantastic. At the risk of sounding melodramatic, body transformations can literally save marriages, relationships, careers and even lives....namely yours. Just take a second to think about how your life could benefit from you looking and feeling your best, not just for you but also for the people closest to you.

2016 is there for the taking. Why not start off as you mean to go on and remember the past does not equal the future. Carpe diem!
